Plan Your St. Pete Game Day

Choose a game first, then decide whether to eat near the venue or make a separate food and drink stop.

St. Pete game days run from Rays baseball at the Trop to Rowdies soccer on the downtown waterfront. Eckerd College adds college games on its campus in the south end of the city, and the Grand Prix takes over downtown streets each March.

Rays at Tropicana Field

Tropicana Field sits west of downtown. Ferg's Sports Bar & Grill is about 0.2 mile from the ballpark. Bodega on Central is about the same distance on Central Avenue. The Rays' lease with the city ends after 2028, and a new Tampa stadium is planned for 2029.

Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium

Al Lang Stadium is on the downtown waterfront. Gratzzi Italian Grille is about 0.1 mile away, and The Hangar Restaurant & Flight Lounge is about 0.2 mile away. Mary Margaret's Olde Irish Tavern is about 0.3 mile away and publishes soccer watch parties.

Race weekend and Eckerd College

The Firestone Grand Prix uses downtown streets, so plan food near the Dalí Museum end of the circuit. Eckerd plays at the McArthur Center, Johnson Field and the baseball field. Circo Pizzeria is a short drive from campus, and Stormrunners Tavern in Gulfport is a longer drive for football on TV.
