Make a Rays game a full day out, with a sports bar and Central Avenue restaurants about 0.2 mile from the ballpark.
Make a Rowdies match a night out on the downtown waterfront, with dinner and bars within about 0.3 mile of the stadium.
Plan a race weekend on downtown streets, with places to eat about 0.2 to 0.4 mile from the Dalí Museum end of the circuit.
Open since 1992 across the street from Tropicana Field, Ferg's has grown to nearly two city blocks and eleven separate bars and rooms, including Ferg's Dog Park & Grill, a clubhouse with a DJ booth and the St. Pete Axe & Ale axe-throwing room. USA Today readers named it the best sports bar in America in 2025, and it won Best Sports Bar at the 2026 Visit St. Pete-Clearwater Besties. Food trucks such as Vinnie's Pies and Maxi Empanadas park inside, and you can order from your phone.

Courtside Grille is the Gateway area's sports grill, opening at 11 a.m. on weekdays and Saturdays and noon on Sundays.
The newest Irish bar downtown. I Love the Burg's 2026 World Cup guide calls it probably the largest room in the city given over to soccer, rowdy on match days, with beer and shot specials and Irish food.

A walk-up pizza window that opened on July 3, 2026 next to The Luce Hotel, the Marriott property that replaced the storm-closed Postcard Inn. The Gabber reported it already had expansion plans.
A two-story brewery, taproom and beer garden on Central that concentrates on lagers and pilsners, poured from European-style serving tanks. The second-floor terrace looks down over the beer garden. Food comes from LALA St. Pete, and the Brew Good program sends proceeds to local causes such as CASA Pinellas.
St. Pete's oldest brewery marked its 13th anniversary in September 2026. The beer garden and tasting room on Baum Avenue stay family friendly, while Webb's City Cellar, its second room, pours sours, cider, mead and wine for adults only. On September 25, 2026 it opened Upstairs at Webb's, an adults-only second-floor bar with Japanese-style side-pull pours and English cask ale. I Love the Burg says honey for the mead comes from bees kept on the roof.
An English-style pub and brewery that took over the old Cycle Brewing taproom in July 2025. Husband and wife Todd and Colleen pour cask ale through hand-pulled beer engines ... I Love the Burg says it is one of only a few breweries in the Southeast doing real ale. It opens early on weekends for Premier League and NFL games, and the resident dog is named Dolly.
North St. Petersburg pub-style restaurant whose own site says it offers Happy Hour specials and a complete lineup of soccer games. Its contact page lists Tuesday to Saturday 11 to 9:30, Sunday 11 to 8:30, closed Monday.
Downtown sports bar by the Pier and Al Lang Stadium. Its own site lists 60+ TVs, pool tables, darts, UFC watch parties, NFL Sundays and a football-season page that names Bucs, Gators and Bulls games.
Founded by Pete, Kat, Aaron and Ian and named for Pete's grandmother, whose beauty salon once filled this same storefront. Fish and chips and shepherd's pie come with vegan versions, and bands play Irish rebel music. I Love the Burg calls it downtown's number one spot for Premier League and big soccer matches ... it showed all 104 World Cup games with the sound on in 2026 and opens early for Celtic F.C.
One of two bars in the city that double as a dog park ... this one has a water park for dogs. It ran the 2026 World Cup with the sound on.
Mini golf bar in the Grand Central District, 21+ after sunset, with indoor seating and multiple TVs. Its own Instagram says college Saturdays and NFL Sundays are on, with NFL Sunday Ticket.
The dining room is built around a 33,500 gallon aquarium that fills a wall. The own site describes Floribbean cooking and Gulf seafood, a sports bar with a deck, a boutique, and live entertainment every night on an indoor stage. Suncoast Family Fun lists it for children because of the tank.
A hurricane-themed tavern that opened on September 25, 2024 ... one day before Hurricane Helene hit Gulfport. It is three rooms in one: a main dining room, The Crow's Nest rooftop bar over Boca Ciega Bay and BARk, a dog-friendly tiki bar. Artist Derek Donnelly later painted a 'Guardian of Gulfport' mural on the building about the town getting through Helene and Milton. Live music runs Tuesday to Sunday.
A Florida-themed gastropub owned by St. Pete natives Pete Boland and Ian Taylor. The full menu runs until 2am and a late-night kitchen menu carries on to the 3am close ... steaks, seafood, tacos and a Cuban sandwich. I Love the Burg calls it St. Pete's legit local pub, the place locals watch game after game.
A tavern in a century-old farmhouse on 4th Street North with a summer orchard and verandas, built around what it calls the spirit of Old Florida. Happy hour is half off drafts, house wines and wells. Its site also lists a Beach Drive Walk Up Cafe at 400 Beach Dr and a Gulfport drive-thru.
